How can i connect two car amplifiers together to three subs to get full power?
I have two sony amp, one is 1200 watts and the other is 1000 watts. I want to know how can I connect the two amp to three subs. also, how can I connect the the amp together to get the a total power of 2200 watts and how can I wire the sub so each of them can get same amount of power (lets say about 700 watts or about 350 rms) the subs are 2 JBL (15) and audiobahlm (15).
WHAT!? SPEAK UP!! I BEEN DRIVIN WIT 3 SUBS! WHAAT? WHAT???

I have a sony XM-ZR1252: 2 channel 800W amp would it be enough to power two 10" 500W Dual 4-Ohm Subs?
IM NEW AT THIS SO BEAR WITH ME!!!
the amp specs:
Class A/B
800 Watts Max Power
400W x 2 Max Power Output
125W x 2 into 4 ohms (20Hz-20kHz, 1.0% THD)
170W x 2 into 2 ohms (20Hz-20kHz, 1.0% THD)
Hi/Low Pass Filter: 80Hz
Slope: -12dB/oct
Bridged into 4 ohms, THD%: 340 WHAT???
Signal to noise ratio: 93dBA
Frequency Response: 5-50kHz
Current Drain at rated output: 32A
Dimensions (WxHxD): 15.5" X 2.2" X 10"
the sub specs for one sub:
RMS Power Range : 250 Watts
* Peak Power Handling: 500 Watts
* Impedance: Dual 4 Ohm
* Diameter: 10 Inch
* Peak power: 500-Watts
* RMS Power: 250-Watts
* Use for 2-Ohm, or 8-Ohm Operation
Where it says bridged into 4 ohms (THD%): 340 does this mean that it will output 340 watts of power??
so if i bridge the subs together i would need 500W of total power because each has 250 RMS??
lastly would this amp be enough to power them sufficiently enough if the subs are bridged being that it would put out 340W???
if some of my questions dont make sense please ask and ill re-phrase them!!
wait i thought if i bridged the subs together and run one set of wires to the amp then it will put out 340W, but total the subs would still need more power?? im not sure i fully understand how u figure out how much power is needed when u bridge the subs together.
ok i think i get it so does the subs when they are bridged together need a total of 500W because they each require 250W a piece???
and one more question would it still be ok with that amp or bad?
if i just used that one.
If you wire you subs in Parallel (DVC) each sub will put a 2 ohm load on you amp total of 4 ohms Therefore your amp will do 2 x 125 watts (rms) running as a 2 channel amp which is half of what each sub is capable off 250 watts rms If you bridge your amp (running it as 1 channel amp) you amp will do 1 x 340 watts rms @ 4 ohms I think you should get a 2nd amp to power the 2nd sub.
If a pair of speakers say they are 70 watts RMS total output power and 140 watts peak power, what does it mean?
How loud are they? I had some speakers on my stereo that were 120W RMS (Per Speaker) that have pretty much blown out (I was using them connected to my PC through a Hi-Fi) & I'm thinking of getting these instead of buying a brand new stereo (I play my music through desktop PC anyway).
I'm thinking of getting these instead which are 70 watts RMS total output power and 140 watts peak power, so because the peak power is 140 watts on them, are these louder or as loud as my Hi-Fi speakers that are 120 watts (Hi-Fi speakers are from the Sony ss-XB6AV stereo so is fairly old anyway)

Help & advice please if you kindly can, 10 points will be awarded !!!
Sorry, my hi fi speakers dont say 120W RMS, i just found on google that they are 120W ... dunno if thats RMS or not, but don't understand what the whole RMS is etc..

Will this amplifier power just this 1 subwoofer that I have?
it's about ideal. Just make sure the gain is set correctly. The gain is intended to be adjusted with respect to the signal strength coming from your head unit. Average aftermarket head units are in the 2-4v range and Sony's amps have a sensitivity of 0.3-6.0v. The gain should be in the 50% range. Cranking the gain then cranking the volume on the HU could result in damaging the sub.
